"/var/lib/eventstore/writer.chk" is denied

Hi,

Obviously that’s isn’t a bug, I’m only asking if I can change the directory /var/lib/eventstore through a setting. Unfortunately in my box,
it requires root privilege to access /var directory.

EventStore version: 3.3.0
OS: Ubuntu 15.04

Yes you can, --Db and --Log will set those pages.

If you’re installing from the packages the owners should be set appropriately to the service user though.
