Would you please elaborate on the difference between this replication, and the HA product?
Or is there a FAQ page that better explains the differences, I couldn’t find anything online.

Replication OSS works exactly the same as HA. However it’s completely unsupported (as is all the OSS).
The commercial HA product is the same node software as OSS, plus the manager/supervisor, plugins for (eg) LDAP authentication, and supported.
I think it was missed that we open sourced this part of the product. There is now paxos + quorums in the open source (master). We will be shortly releasing binaries that include it as well.
