System Center Endpoint Protection

We’re seeing a lot of heartbeat timeouts on one of our customers servers, but load is low, plenty of cpu, ram & disk. They are running System Center Endpoint Protection, MS security software I’m not very familiar with. Network traffic analysis is on.

Could this interfere with local tcp even when our software and eventstore is on the same machine? I’m imagining it’s proxied somehow.

(realise this isn’t very es-specific, just collecting arguments for having it disabled)

You can also boost timeouts.

I don't really know anything about System Center Endpoint Protection

Tried setting to 10 sec server side, still issues (but not as many). Will have to do a new build to set client timeouts.

Anything to save me a discussion with this particular it-department :wink:
