Projections Priority

Was wondering if there’s a way to give a projection higher priority than others?

Hi,

currently there is no way to manage projection priorities. All caught up projections receive events from a single event reader, so they run approx. with at the same reader position.

Are you running the system with projections lagging too far behind the writer, so you need to prioritize them?

Yes that was the idea behind the projections priority. Not sure if that’s going to end up being a common request so probably not worth checking too much into it.

Hi,

Typically even with small load on the system projections run with a small lag behind the storage writer (100-200 ms). People expect projections to process events almost immediately in this case. I’ll fix this, so projections will process events as they appear unless heavy load on the system.
