Is it possible to run a cluster across multiple data centers? For instance will it work if we deploy two nodes in one of our data centers and one node in another data center? If this is possible any best practices would be appreciated.

Best is actually three but yes we 100% support it. http://ha.geteventstore.com/showcase/# simulates power fails but it’s the same for network partitions. You can always lose one data center and still keep running.
