Commercial vs Open Source version

Hi!

Why is the commercial version better than open source (apart from being installed as a Windows service)?
Is it faster (Open Source version can write up to 15000 events/sec - is it right?) ?
Maybe you can write more complicated projections?
What are the main advantages that may convince to buy the commercial version?
I don’t mean additional external tools, telephone support etc. - I mean the database itself.

Sorry for the very late response!

Support and administration tools aside, the commercial version comes with plugins like LDAP authentication. You also have a different Web UI.

At the core, the commercial and open-source version are identical. Don’t expect one to be faster than the other.

Just discovering EventStoreDB now. Can you please point to official documentation on the differences between the open source edition and the paid offerings?

There is no official documentation on this subject specifically. My earlier post sums up pretty much the differences between the two. Keep in mind the commercial version goes with the support package or our cloud offering.
