catch-up subscriptions for data ware house

Hi,

I have been told that I can use catch-up subscriptions:

to update a data warehouse (dw) type read model. Despite a few Google searches, I could not find much on the subject. Could someone please be so kind and explain catch-up subscriptions in the context of dw or point me in the right direction? Thanks!
