Hi All,
Is there a recommended instance type, disk type, and/or OS for AWS? I am migrating from a Windows Machine to AWS and would like to avoid any stupid mistakes.

Start with m3.large and see where that gets you - in general you’ll want multiple cores, and and EBS optimised instance if you’re using EBS rather than the ephemeral storage. You’ll likely need to play around with the timeouts in a cluster, especially with smaller instances
