A quick query regarding the time an event occurs

Hi all,

I’m starting to put together event classes in my application. Would people add the time at which the event occurred to the class or set it as meta data?

I can think of cases where both options may work equally well, depending on the event, but wanted to standardise and wondered whether there were best practices?

Advice appreciated.

if putting on all I would put in metadata. There will certainly be
some where the time is not a business concept. For the ones where time
is a business concept I would put it on the event as well.

Some things might not get metadata just the event?
